Alberto Suppici (Uruguay, 1898-1981) was the first manager to lead a team, the host nation, to victory in the first ever FIFA World Cup.
Juan José Tramutola (Argentina, 1902-1968) and  Francisco Olazar (Argentina, 1885-1958) were both the managers of Argentina in 1930.
Costel Rădulescu (Romania, 1896-1981) and Octav Luchide (Romania) were both the managers of Romania in 1930.
Hector Goetinck (Belgium, 1886-1943) was the first manager to lead a team in two differents World Cups.
Costel Rădulescu (Romania, 1896-1981) and  Josef Uridil (Austria, 1895-1962) were both the managers of Romania in 1934.
Károly Dietz (Hungary, 1885-1969) and Alfréd Schaffer (Slovakia, 1893 - Germany, 1945) were the managers of Hungary in the 1938 FIFA World Cup.
Vittorio Pozzo (Italy, 1886-1968) was the first manager to win two world cups in a row.
Sepp Herberger (Germany, 1897-1977) and Walter Winterbottom (England, 1913-2002) were the first managers to lead a team in three differents World Cups.
George Raynor (1907-1985) was one of the most succesful manager in all over the world. He led the Sweden national football team to the final in Sweden (1958), he got the third place in Brazil (1950), and he also managed them to an Olympic gold medal.
Prvoslav Mihajlović (Serbia, 1921-1978) and Ljubomir Lovrić (Serbia, 1920-1994) were both the managers of Yugoslavia in 1962.
Sepp Herberger (Germany, 1897-1977) and Walter Winterbottom (England, 1913-2002) were the first managers to lead a team in four differents World Cups.
Mário Zagallo (Brazil, 1931) was the first person to win the World Cup as a player in 1958 and 1962, and as a manager in 1970.
Helmut Schön (Germany, 1915-1996) was one of the most succesful manager in all over the world. He is best remembered for his exceptional career as manager of the West German national team. He led them to the top three in three consecutive World Cup, including winning the title in 1974, losing in the final in 1966, and coming in third in 1970.
Lajos Baróti (Hungary, 1914-2005) joined the select group of managers who managed a team in four different World Cups (Helmut Schön, Sepp Herberger, Walter Winterbottom and Lajos Baróti).
